With her verbal commitment to Purdue University, Indiana breaststroker Gretta DeCoursey has elected to move an hour up the Interstate for the 2017-18 season. DeCoursey is a senior at Zionsville Community High School, whom she helped achieve a fourth-place team finish at the 2016 IHSAA Girls Swimming and Diving Championships in February. Individually, DeCoursey placed fifth in the 100 free and seventh in the 100 breast, earning Winter Juniors cuts in both events. She also swam breast on the medley relay and anchored Zionsville’s 400 free relay.
DeCoursey swims year-round for Zionsville Swim Club. She had a particularly strong 2015-16 season, dropping in the:
