Wyoming Cowboys Nab Missouri Champion AJ Iseman

Wyoming Head Coach Tom Johnson has picked up a gem from the Kansas City area, landing a verbal commitment today from AJ Iseman.

Iseman swims under CJ Roberts for Empire Swim Club in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. He has qualified both backstroke events for Winter Juniors and considers himself to be a backstroker, but has shown strong versatility over the past year. AJ made multiple A finals in the 2015 Region 8 Sectional at Jenks last spring and was part of the gold medal winning 800 free relay. It is possible that Iseman may develop to contribute on many fronts for the Cowboys.

AJ is currently the Team Captain at Rockhurst High School and has been an integral part of their last three MSHSAA State team titles. With his high school championship coming in less than two weeks, AJ will be leading the Hawklets as they try to extend their Missouri swimming and diving dynasty to a twelfth year.

While representing Rockhurst in 2015, AJ was the Missouri State champion in the 100 fly, and was also the fly leg on the winning 200 Medley Relay that achieved All American status for the Hawklets.

AJ’s best times (SCY):

50 free – 21.01
100 free – 45.81
200 free – 1:41.11
100 fly – 50.41
100 back – 50.41
200 back – 1:50.46
