The 2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships kick off on Tuesday, with 42 events being contested over six days. SwimSwam caught up with the head coaches of Team USA’s squad on the women’s (Crystal Keelan, Penn Charter Aquatic Club) and men’s side (Billy Doughty, DART Swimming) at US nationals once the team had been selected. Both Keelan and Doughty break down what being on an international travel team exactly entails.

Just saw the captions on another page. These are the team captains: Gretchen Walsh, Carson Foster, Lillie Nordmann, Luca Urlando, and Maxime Parker.
