Winter Juniors Qualifier Max Meissner (2021) Commits to Swim for Princeton

Max Meissner from Greenwich, Connecticut has announced his intention to swim for Princeton University beginning in the fall of 2021.

“I couldn’t be more excited about swimming for Princeton next fall.  The extraordinary academics, fantastic coaching staff, welcoming teammates, and beautiful campus all make me very much look forward to starting my freshman year.  I am very grateful to Coach Cavataro, my teammates at the Greenwich Dolphins and Brunswick School, and my family for helping me develop as a swimmer.”

Meissner is a senior at The Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT. He was captain of the swim team and wrapped up his prep career at the Easterns Virtual Championships in March with a 1st in the 500 free and a PB in the 50 back (24.17) leading off the medley relay. Last season, at the New England Prep School Division I Championships, he was runner-up in the 200 IM (1:52.77) and 7th in the 100 breast (58.43).

Meissner started his swimming career in London at Chelsea and Westminster Swimming Club. He now swims year-round with Greenwich Dolphins and specializes in IM, back, and breast. Most of his lifetime bests in SCY come from last year’s high school season and from the 2020 Connecticut Swimming Senior Championships, where he won the 400 IM, was runner-up in the 100 back, and came in 7th in the 200 breast.
