Winter Juniors Qualifier Arabella Lee Makes Verbal Commitment to Villanova

Arabella Lee, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Marlboro, New Jersey, has announced her verbal commitment to Villanova University for the 2022-23 school year and beyond.

“I’m super excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Villanova University! A big thank you to my coaches, family, and friends for helping me get here. V’s up, go cats!”

Lee swims for the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County (formerly known as Red Bank YMCA) and just finished her junior year at Colts Neck High School. A free/fly specialist, she also

Lee recently won the 100 fly with a PB of 54.47, the only sub-55 in the field, at the 2021 YMCA Spring Festival-Voorhees. Her time was the 5th-fastest in the combined results of the virtual Spring Festival. She also earned a PB in the 50 free and was only .9 off her best time in the 100 back with her 13th-place overall finish. In October, she notched a PB in the 100 free. The rest of her lifetime bests are from 2019.

Lee’s best times will make her an immediate impact player for the Wildcats. She would have been an A-finalist in the 100/200 fly and 100/200 back at the 2021 Big East Championships, which the Villanova women won by less than 70 points over runner-up UCONN.
