PRINCETON, N.J. – The Hoosiers concluded their weekend at Princeton with a 19-5 win over the George Washington Colonials. George Washington got the jump on IU to start the game, but the Hoosiers finished the game with a 15-1 scoring run for their fourth consecutive win.

Kelly Matthews led seven Hoosiers in scoring with five goals, bringing her total to 14 scores on the weekend. Jennifer Beadle and Candyce Schroeder had outstanding offensive days as well, netting four goals each. Colleen McNaughtadded two goals for nine on the weekend, followed bySummer Creighton and Sarah Myers with one goal apiece.

Nine Hoosiers were credited with assists inSunday’s win. Myers, Ellie Stott, and Alexis Jones led Indiana with two assists each. McNaught led the Hoosiers in assists for the weekend with an average of two assists per game.

A key component of Indiana’s win was their defense, which locked down for the final three quarters of play. Five Hoosiers shared a total of seven steals, and the defense posted shutouts in the second and fourth quarters.

With that win, the Hoosiers improve to 5-1 in CWPA play.

Up next, the Hoosiers head home for their final weekend of the regular season. Indiana will begin the weekend on Saturday evening against Bucknell at8:00 pm ET. They close the regular season on Sunday, April 19 against Mercyhurst at 9:00 am ET, followed by a non-conference game against Gannon. The Hoosiers close their regular season against Notre Dame College on Sunday at3:30 pm ET.
