WATCH: ‘The Swimmer’, A 2-Minute Film About A 90-Year-Old Who Swims Every Day

Below, you can watch the short film “The Swimmer” – a two-minute video about Walter Strohmayer, a 90-year-old who swims each morning.

Narrated entirely by Strohmayer, the film bills itself as focusing on “the power of ritual.” Strohmayer talks about his daily ritual of walking to the beach and swimming – something he’s done since he was a boy.

The film is directed by Blaise Hayward, and posted to Hayward’s Vimeo profile.

By the way, Walters stroke technique is much better than most “lap swimmers” 1/4 his age. I hope you live, happy and healthy (and swimming), well past those ten years you think you will live.… Read more »

I would love to be able to swim for free like he does! Memberships just for pools are expensive!
