Sarah Thomas, the world record marathon swim – Lake Powell, AZ, completing in 56 hours and 5 minutes. This video shows the journey of this historic moment for her.

SwimSwam shares these videos to encourage all swimmers (club, open water, masters, college and prospective student-athletes) to continue to enjoy the sport. It is also a way to share experiences with readers who otherwise may not get to see inside these teams/individuals. These videos are an opportunity for people to see what happens on training trips, travel meets, national championships or even just day to day events. Swimmers work hard and are excited to share with everyone not just the results we post, but also their memories and swimming experiences.
