2015 Arena Pro Swim Series – MEN’S 100 FLY
The men’s 100m fly featured some of the best Texas swimmers currently in college swimming. Jack Conger, one of if not the best swimmer on the Texas roster at the current moment, absolutely dominated the race to drop a personal best time of 51.64.
Prior to that swim, Conger’s best time was a 52.51 from the prelims, showing a massive time-drop in the event.
Conger was out first in 24.20 followed by Tim Phillips. Conger began to extend his lead while Phillips faded and another Texas star took his place behind Conger. Tripp Cooper passed Phillips and ended up grabbing the silver medal with a time of 52.91.
100 FLY – B FINAL
tripp cooper getting up close and personal at the beginning lol.
Wow, his 2nd underwater was insane!
was a very long effective underwater after the turn ! that speedster did put him immediately in command of the 2d 50 .
Great announcing voice, but man we need some more enthusiasm for a 51.mid in January of the U.S. short course season. That was a heck of a swim and a fast stroke rate that he looked like he could swim for days.
….the meet is sleepy. Jan GPs have been that way for a few years. Between Ledecky’s 4:00 and Congers 100 fly, a tiny corner of the pool was going nuts…. Someone was actually sleeping in the stands during Ledecky’s 400 free… We need cowbells and bullhorns! Those should be must-haves for the newly branded APSSeries.

I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!
