Noemie Thomas is back from Cal and preparing to compete at the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games in the 100 and 200m flys.

Thomas is one of the favourites in both events, and will have to race two tough Canadians in order to try and top the podium. Audrey Lacroix will be one of Thomas’ main competitors in the 200m fly. In the 100, Canadian record holder Katerine Savard will be the one to beat.

This is Thomas’ first international competition since starting her freshman year at Cal. Right after taking home the team title with the golden bears at the NCAA Championships, she was speedy at Canadian trials, swimming a 58.08 100 fly. That time currently ranks her 13th in the world this season.

The 100m fly is Thomas’ best chance for a medal. She’s been one of the top swimmers in the 100m fly since her major international debut at the 2013 World Championships.
