Creighton Prep senior Jacob Molacek had a whale of a weekend at the 2014 Nebraska High School State Championship meet on Saturday. Though he only began his scholastic career as a junior, after being home schooled for his first two years of high school, he came on strong, and will end his career holding 8 Nebraska State Records (out of 12 chances), including 6 set this weekend (including relays and relay leadoffs).
See his two individual prelims swims, a 52.93 in the 100 breaststroke that is the National High School Record, and a 1:45.50 in the 200 IM, which is a new Nebraska State Record (by five seconds).
See Jared Anderson’s full meet report here.
Thanks to Shane Molacek for sharing these videos with us.
Does Molacek move his head too much?

Fabulous! Let me guess. Is he joining Cordes at the University of Arizona?
Nope, he’s going to Auburn.
Thanks for the video.
If only all parents, coaches or teammates could film races with records like that.
Very cool for swimming fans.
