USA Swimming Partnership With TYR Sport Continues

USA Swimming announced the extension of its partnership with global swimming brand TYR through 2020. TYR will serve as an official sponsor of USA Swimming for technical products and performance apparel.

“TYR Sport is honored to continue its role as a sponsor of USA Swimming,” began Chief Executive Officer Matt DiLorenzo. “Through our collaborative efforts we are confident that will continue to advance the sport of swimming well into the future.”

Continuing the terms of the original partnership in 2013, TYR will have the opportunity to engage at top USA Swimming sanctioned events including Phillips 66 National Championships, Winter National Championships and the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

“We are thrilled to have TYR back on our team to help grow the sport at the grassroots and at the elite level,” said USA Swimming Chief Marketing Officer Matt Farrell. “Their continued efforts to work with athletes, support SwimToday and produce excellent products make them a great partner.”

In addition to its support of the grow-the-sport campaign SwimToday, TYR sponsors the USA Swimming Foundation and plays an integral part of USA Swimming’s various camps and clinics by providing equipment. This includes several Swim 1922 clinics that promote increased swim participation and decreased drowning rates. These camps serve as an influential part of USA Swimming’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Through the partnership TYR will also receive assets such as advertisements in Splash Magazine (a 275,000 circulation quarterly publication sent direct to USA Swimming members), event activation at USA Swimming sanctioned meets and signage, the right to use USA Swimming marks and a VIP table for the annual Golden Goggle Awards.

Currently, TYR sponsors seven USA Swimming athletes including Olympians Matt Grevers (Lake Forest, Ill./Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics), Molly Hannis (Santa Rosa, Calif./Tennessee Aquatics), Cody Miller (Las Vegas, Nev./ Badger Swim Club), Jacob Pebley (Corvallis, Ore./ California Aquatics), Dana Vollmer (Granbury, Texas/California Aquatics) and Kelsi Worrell(Westampton, N.J./ University of Louisville), as well as national team member Ashley Twichell(Fayetteville, N.Y./North Carolina Aquatic Club.
