COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Featuring a number of one-of-a-kind items and unique experiences, the 2016 USA Swimming Foundation Golden Goggles Silent Auction is now live online and open for bidding.
All funds raised from the Golden Goggles Silent Auction help to underwrite the USA Swimming Foundation’s programs including their award winning learn-to-swim initiative, Make a Splash. They also go to provide direct support to the U.S. National Swim Team and its development efforts aimed to strengthen the future of USA Swimming’s programs and services. Since 2004, the Golden Goggle Awards have provided over $2.3 million dollars in funding to the USA Swimming Foundation.
The 2016 Golden Goggle Awards & Silent Auction will take place on Nov. 21 in the heart of Times Square at the New York Marriott Marquis with NBC television sportscaster Dan Hicks as the Emcee for the evening’s festivities. Swimming fans unable to attend the Golden Goggle Awards can still support the USA Swimming Foundation online now.
The Golden Goggles Silent Auction only happens once a year and the Olympic sports memorabilia, athlete experiences, travel and lifestyle packages have been raising funds for the Foundation’s mission to save lives and build champions since 2012,” said Debbie Hesse, Executive Director of the USA Swimming Foundation. “The event is an opportunity to acquire some amazing once-in-a-lifetime items, as we celebrate our amazing U.S. Olympic Swim Team!”
