USA 12th in Synchro Team Free – 2015 FINA World Championship Video

The U.S. national synchronized swimming team finished 12th in the team free final Friday at the FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia.

Team USA scored 84.5667 points in the final. Host Russia won the gold, followed by China and Japan.

The U.S. team members who competed in the team free final are: Anita Alvarez (Kenmore, N.Y.); Claire Barton (Los Gatos, Calif.); Mary Killman (McKinney, Texas); Mariya Koroleva (Concord, Calif.); Isabel Malcolmson (Saratoga, Calif.); Sandra Ortellado (Walnut Creek, Calif.); Karensa Tjoa (San Jose, Calif.); and Alison Williams (Northridge, Calif.).

The event wrapped up Team USA’s participation in the FINA World Championships, which saw Bill May (Cicero, N.Y.) enjoy a historic week. He teamed up with former Olympians Christina Jones (Fremont, Calif.) and Kristina Lum Underwood (Las Vegas, Nev.) to win gold and silver medals, respectively, as mixed duet debuted in a FINA-sanctioned event.
