Sarah Bennetts from Davis, California, has made a verbal commitment to the University of California, Los Angeles, and will head south to L.A. in the fall of 2023.

Bennetts trains with DART at Davis Aquadarts Swim Team. She specializes in breaststroke, freestyle, and IM. At Speedo Winter Juniors-West this past December, she competed in the 50/100/200 free, 100/200 breast, and 200 IM and walked away with new lifetime bests in all six events. She placed 12th in the 100 breast and 19th in the 200 breast.
Similarly, she updated all her LCM times this summer while competing at Santa Clarita Futures. She came in 10th in the 50 free (26.70), 5th in the 100 free (57.28), 4th in the 100 breast (1:11.46), 5th in the 200 breast (2:38.63), and 9th in the 200 IM (2:20.82). She also earned a PB in the 200 free (2:06.62) leading off the DART 4×200 free relay.

Bennetts will join the Bruins with fellow class of 2027 verbal commit Elena Dry. She will join a breaststroke group currently headed by freshmen Eva Carlson and Ana Jih-Schiff and sophomores Bailey Herbert and Sam Baron, all of whom will still be there when Bennetts suits up.
