The winningest Olympian of all-time, Michael Phelps, has been arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to TMZ.
TMZ cites anonymous sources who say that Phelps was pulled over around 1:40 AM overnight and was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. The charges, according to TMZ’s sources, are “DUI, excessive speeding and crossing double lane lines.”
This is Phelps’ second arrest for DUI. He was also arrested in 2004 in Maryland at 19-years old and plead guilty in exchange for 18 months probation. Since then, his only entry in the Maryland Public Records lists are minor in nature – including a 2011 case for driving without proper registration, for which Phelps also plead guilty.
We have reached out to Phelps’ representatives, who have not yet responded to a request for comment.

I was at a casino last week until 3 a.m. on a Monday night. It was my second casino trip during 2014. I do not have a gambling problem. Casino’s seem to be less crowded during the week. I choose not to drink, but I do use the Valet. It would surprise me if Phelps does not use the Valet service and if he did, why would a valet hand him the keys if he were intoxicated. Doesn’t a casino have a duty to make sure their guests do not get drunk and then drive?

It is something to know there are so many people with interest in the subject and it seems have never driven when they should’ve have. There is no doubt it was totally wrong what Michael did. I just can’t believe he drove that fast to bring attention to himself. Nice to know swimming has so many people with perfect records. It is up to Michael and those who have his ear to take charge and have some heavy consultation.

He needs a psychologists that deals with ADHD for adults. Maybe, medication.In fact folks with ADHD can developed anxiety disorders as they aged. Michael is fortunate that he was born much later than me where there are better researches.
Why is this surprising? Phelps is one one in a million talent. The best Swimmer ever. But as an individual he is a douche. The end.
