SwimSwam Wins Media Race at Junior World Championships in Dubai

In what has become a great, fun tradition at major FINA swim meets, the 5th edition of the FINA World Junior Championships held a media race before anyone escaped, and SwimSwam came away with the gold.

Our reporter Colin Blair smoked the field in the 50 meter freestyle race. His prize: one of those cute stuffed camels that winners got, plus an official FINA photographers vest to keep.

Illegal suit in Lane 0.

That is due to the Muslim tradition of women covering their bodies. It may be illegal, however it is made of thick cloth, dragging her down more than an average suit would.
