Waxhaw, North Carolina native Caroline Hauder has made a verbal commitment to join the University of North Carolina in the fall of 2017.

Hauder, a junior at Marvin Ridge High School, is the North Carolina state record-holder in the 200 IM and the 3A record-holder in the 100 breast. She led Marvin Ridge to the team title at the 2016 3A NCHSAA State Swimming and Diving Championships by winning the 200 IM (1:58.85) and 100 breast (1:02.15) and by leading off their winning medley relay and anchoring their winning 4×100 free relay.
Hauder competes for SwimMAC Carolina and has achieved 2016 Olympic Trials cuts in the 200m IM and 100m breast. Her top times include:
