The SwimMAC Elite team’s flight from Charlotte, North Carolina to Omaha, Nebraska had to make an impromptu stop in Kansas City, Missouri yesterday, reportedly due to an “oxygen malfunction.”
Yesterday, SwimMAC’s Olympic backstroking hopeful and Kathleen Baker tweeted: “Emergency landing in Kansas City due to oxygen malfunctions… Yay for adventures.”

Other swimmers on the flight included 200 fly favorite in Omaha Cammile Adams, 11-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte, and defending Olympic 200 backstroke champion Tyler Clary.
According to Clary’s Instagram, the group trained last night at the Platte City YMCA in Platte City, Missouri and then made the two and a half hour drive to Omaha.
The team made it to Omaha in time for this morning’s press conferences, including Ryan Lochte and Dave Marsh’s press conference, where Lochte announced that he will be swimming the 400 IM on Sunday.
They so look like Gilligans island .
Well, they are stranded somewhere.. And Tyler always give off that Gilligan’s air about him. Lochte too. Mischievous.
Oh yes I’ve typecast them . From top

PS – I try to give up SwSw but Americans are just too much fun.
Except that Phelps was actually the Gilligan of the US team; that was a nickname for him by some of the older swimmers in his early days on the US National Team.
I really like these swimmers.
Who is that on the far left next to Marsh?
Coach Peter Verhoeff
