SwimAtlanta’s Julianna Stephens Commits to In-state Georgia Bulldogs

Fitter and Faster Swim Clinics is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Julianna Stephens, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Roswell, Georgia, has committed to the University of Georgia’s class of 2024. There, she’ll join Maxine Parker, Meghan Wenzel, and Sloane Reinstein in the fall of 2020.

Swimming for Roswell High School at the 2019 GHSA 6-7A State Championships, Stephens tied for 6th place in the 7A 50 free with 24.21. She finished 11th in the 7A 100 free (53.50). She also anchored the 8th-place 400 free relay (52.83) and the 9th-place 200 medley relay (23.59).

In club swimming, where she represents SwimAtlanta, Stephens competed at 2019 Winter Juniors East in the 50/100 free and earned a new PB in the former. Last summer she picked up a slew of lifetime bests in LCM season, including the 50/100 free and 50/100 breast at Georgia Swimming Senior Long Course Championships. She finished 9th in the 50 free, 10th in the 100 free, 7th in the 50 breast, and 20th in the 200 breast.

Top SCY times:

  • 50 free – 23.88
  • 100 free – 52.74
  • 100 breast – 1:07.38
