JOB DESCRIPTION
UW-Milwaukee is seeking applicants for the position of Recruiting Coordinator/ Assistant Men & Women’s Swimming & Diving Coach.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Head Coach and in accordance with all NCAA, Conference, State and Institutional rules and regulations this position will assist in the recruitment of student athletes; practice and deck coaching and planning; athlete skill development; academic monitoring; office management and promotional and fundraising activities. Other duties as assigned.
Starting Date: June 1, 2015
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree and valid driver license (must be eligible to be a certified driver through UWM’s Risk Management Office)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Highly qualified candidates will provide evidence of collegiate coaching or swimming experience; recruiting experience; practice planning experience; and familiarity with NCAA rules. The ideal applicant will also provide evidence of experience with academic monitoring of student-athletes; athlete skill development knowledge; office management; and community relations & fundraising ability.
APPOINTMENT/SALARY
This is a 12-month full-time appointment designated as fixed-renewable non-teaching academic staff. This leadership position comes with a competitive salary and benefit package. Salary is between $30,000 – $32,000 annually.
