The Stanford Cardinal took victories in all 14 events of the meet, starting with a win in the 400-yard medley relay, with the team of Ryan Arata, Christian Brown, Andrew Liang and Sean Duggan touching in a time of 3:19.43.
Both Liang and Duggan went on to be double individual event winners for the Cardinals. Liang won the 50-yard backstroke (23.43) and the 150-yard back (1:19.39), and Duggan won the 50-yard free (20.80) and the 200-yard IM (1:51.58).
Stanford’s Patrick Conaton and Max Williamson had a race to the finish in the 800-yard free, touching in 7:35.31 and 7:35.58 respectively, almost 20 seconds ahead of Pacific’s Collin Craig, who touched 3rd in 7:51.38.
The Cardinals had a 1-2-3 finish in the 200-yard free event, with Liam Egan, Spencer DeShon and Danny Thomson finishing in times of 1:39.65, 1:39.70 and 1:41.53 respectively.
The 50-yard breaststroke was another race to the finish, with Stanford teammates Sam Perry (26.02) and Daniel Le (26.04) touching just ahead of Pacific’s Yahav Shahaf (26.07). In the following event, Stanford junior Jimmy Yoder dominated the 150-yard butterfly, clocking in in 1:17.64. The 50-yard fly was a close finish with Stanford teammates Wesley Olmsted and Perry touching in 22.67 and 22.77 respectively.
DeShon went on to win the 100-yard free in 45.52, touching just ahead of Yoder, who finished in 46.31. Le went on to win the 150-yard breaststroke, touching the pads way ahead of the field in 1:29.72. Williamson also came back for a victory in his second event, winning the 400-yard freestyle in 3:40.56, fighting to the finish with teammate Brad Zdroik who touched just behind him in 3:40.86.
