I wouldn’t call it chemistry. They’re just stacked
Yeah this is an example of the worst kind of coach speak, and a head coach trying to take way too much credit for something that has nothing to do with them.
But, he’s not the only one guilty of this.
did you watch the interview? It doesn’t sound like he’s taking credit for anything, quite the opposite actually, and he doesn’t really talk about chemistry either, just says that the team is having a lot of fun.
Would love to hear more about his IU chemistry
The only person who didn’t love Jonty from IU was Coley Stickels.
Jonty was well liked and respected by all at IU. He is a good man and a fantastic coach and it was a big blow to the kids and the program when he had to “retire”. Unfortunately, his emotions over not getting the Alabama job, and their subsequent choice Coley, got the best of him. This isn’t a knock on Coley, or Alabama. My opinion of Coley is very high, too and it appears that he’s doing a great job at Bama. It was a tough situation because they aren’t exactly on each other’s Christmas card list if you know what I mean.
He took his ball and went home. Right before NCAAs. Coley was lucky to get out of there with his reputation intact.
