The Louisville Cardinals have picked up another very good sprint freestyler in their class of 2015, adding to what has become one of the best and deepest recruiting classes in program history.
Grace Long of the Upper Arlington Swim Club in Ohio gave her pledge to Arthur Albiero and his staff. In yards, her best times are:
- 50 free – 23.16
- 100 free – 49.85
- 200 free – 1:48.17
- 100 back – 56.59
- 200 back – 2:00.97
- 200 IM – 2:02.87
While she’s got some breadth and versatility, her best events are the 50-100-200 freestyles. That’s an area where Louisville needed a lot of help in the class this fall, and it’s an area where they got a lot of help this fall.
- Sophie Cattermole has been 49.95 in the 100 free,
- Clara Baggett has been 50.46 in the 100 free,
- Emily Moser has been 51.95 in the 100 free, and
- Mallory Comerford has been 50.14 in the 100 free.
Long finished 2nd in the 100 free at the Ohio High School State Championships in Division 1, and was 4th in the 200 free.
Hard work really does pay off! Thanks for always being an awesome team mate 🙂 Congrats!
Congrats Grace.
Why is it Ohio State cannot keep the top swimmers in state (Stevens #1 – 2014, Cottrell – 2013..to name a few)
Congrats to Gracie and the cardinals! So happy for you Gracie!
