South Dakota State Sweeps Summit League Swimmer of the Week Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State’s Blake Yeager and Andrea Budahl were named The Summit League’s Swimmers of the Week for their performances Feb. 4-10, marking the final awards of the season.

MEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK         
Blake Yeager, South Dakota State 

Jr. // Crown Point, Ind.
Yeager earns his first career Swimmer of the Week award after a pair of top-10 finishes at the Minnesota Challenge.  The junior clocked a 1,650 free time of 16:19.80 to take third and finish the regular season ranked 10th in the league.  He also finished eighth in the 200 free (1:44.85).

WOMEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Andrea Budahl, South Dakota State

Budahl captures the third weekly honor of her career and second this season after a trio of top-four finishes, including an event win, at the Minnesota Challenge.  The senior won the 500 free touching the wall at 5:07.01. She also claimed a runner-up finish in the 200 fly (2:07.63), clocking the second-fastest league time of the season and took fourth in the 200 free (1:54.65).

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State’s Clark Kocourek and South Dakota’s Greysen Hertting were named The Summit League’s Divers of the Week for their performances Feb. 4-10, marking the final weekly diving awards of the season.

MEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK   
Clark Kocourek, South Dakota State

Sr. // Omaha, Neb.
Kocourek collects his third career Diver of the Week award after a pair of top-six finishes at the Minnesota Challenge.  The Omaha, Neb., native took third in the three-meter dive with a score of 314.25 and finished sixth in the one meter (298.20).

WOMEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Greysen Hertting, South Dakota

Hertting claims her 10th Diver of the Week honor this season after winning the one-meter dive at the Minnesota Challenge.  The freshman finished first in the one meter with 245.10 points and took fifth in the three meter with a score of 268.65.
