The Singapore Swim Stars meet, billed as a kick-off to the brand-new, state-of-the-art Aquatic Center in the Singapore Sports Hub, will award $150,000 in prize money between 10 total events, according to Italy’s SwimBiz.it.
The event will happen in September, and boasts a wealth of huge swimming names, including James Magnussen, Ruta Meilutyte, Katinka Hosszu, Rikke Moller Pedersen, Nathan Adrian, Camille Lacourt, Daniel Gyurta, Francesca Halsall, Vlad Morozov, Fred Bousquet, Jeanette Ottesen, Jessica Hardy, Roland Schoeman, Arkady Vyatchanin, George Bovell, Christian Sprenger, Fabio Scozzoli, Eugene Godsoe, Jimmy Feigen and others, according to the meet’s website.
The pool competition portion of the event will take place on Friday, September 5th, with swim clinics that Saturday and an open water race on Sunday. The pool meet will be a quick, fan-oriented lineup – the website lists an event schedule of just 10 total events – the 100s of every stroke and a three-round, 50 free shootout for each gender.
Here’s what the lineup looks like:
