Russian-Born Bolles Senior Olga Lapteva Commits to NC State

Russian-born Olga Lapteva, currently a senior at the Bolles School in Florida, has verbally committed to the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

Lapteva is primarily a breaststroker (though she’s got enough versatility to have IM potential as well).

Best times in yards:

  • 100 breast – 1:03.73
  • 200 breast – 2:14.48
  • 200 IM – 2:04.51
  • 400 IM – 4:27.02

Braden Holloway’s team currently has a junior, Kayla Brumbaum, at the top of it’s breaststroke group, but it’s not an overly-deep group, and Lapteva will battle with current freshmen Rozhina McClanahan (1:04) and any future recruits to take over that top spot in the group as a sophomore.

She’s already the 5th commitment for the NC State women in the class of 2016, following up on a big 11-swimmer class last fall.

She’s also been 1:12.22 in the 100 breaststroke in long course and 2:34.53 in the 200.
