Rio 2016 Medal Table: USA Thunders Back On Night 2

Night two is in the books, and in all three individual finals, world records were smashed.

Adding to their respective country’s gold medal tallies were Sarah SjostromAdam Peaty, and Katie Ledecky, while the American men put together a stellar 4×100 free relay to break 3:10 and grab another gold.

The USA has made up all of the ground on the early leaders Australia, and are now tied with the Aussies with two golds apiece. They also picked up three bronzes, thanks to Cody Miller in the 100 breast, Dana Vollmer in the 100 fly, and Leah Smith in the 400 free. Smith, in particular, made it the first time these Games that two Americans have made the podium in the pool. Team USA shoots to the top of the medal table for swimming with 8 medals overall.

Did anyone else see the Russian cheaters pull on the lane line, push off the bottom and pee in the Aussies lane after the race???
