Rebecca Adlington Leads Gig with BBC Broadcast for Worlds

Four-Time Olympic medalist and 2008 Beijing double-distance queen Rebecca Adlington will be back poolside at the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona, though it will be in a significantly more clothed capacity than we’re used to seeing her.

That’s because it appears that Adlington will be joining former 50 butterfly world record holder Mark Foster and BBC sports journalist Gabby Logan behind the microphone as part of the BBC’s coverage of the 2013 World Swimming Championships in Barcelona this summer.

Earlier today Adlington tweeted:

“Exciting talking over the swimming world championships bbc coverage! Over 11hours in total! Amazing! Can’t wait @MarkFosterSwim @Gabby_Logan”

Both Foster and Logan responded expressing their own personal excitement. No details of the coverage or how the duties will be split have been released.
