Rapsys Takes Three Titles at the Lithuanian National Championships

19 year old Danas Rapsys had an impressive showing at the Lithuanian National Championships in Alytus.

Rapsys took three events with his most noteworthy swim coming in the men’s 200 freestyle where he set a new Lithuanian record. He took the event in a time of 1:47.39 breaking his own national record of 1:47.90 which he set in January at the Speedo Flanders Cup.

His time also places him third in the world for the event.

He took the men’s 100 backstroke in a time of 54.42, which ranks 11th in the world and added a win in the 200 backstroke posting a time of 1:58.31.

Andrius Sidlauskas also had a strong meet sweeping the men’s breaststroke events. He took the 50 breaststroke in a time of 28.05 which currently places him 12th in the world rankings.
