This weekend, at the Croatian Winter National Championships, 14-year old Karlo Noah Paut had a Michael Andrew/Kyle Chalmers-like weekend and broke four of his country’s National Age Records in a single meet.
You can read about all four of those records here, but above is featured his 50.92 in the 100 long course meters freestyle, which would be the fastest ever at that age in most of the world’s country’s (including the United States).
Paut is swimming in the yellow lane closest to the camera, in the blue cap and blue jammer.
He quit swimming this year..

I still believe that Kyle charmers would hold the world age group record at 50.86 but to get below 52 at 14 is amazing let alone 51!!

2 things i got from the video…
1) WOW, a bad start and still went that fast? DANG!
2) I don’t care that its Croatian, French, Italian, south African, whatever, i love when i watch swim videos and i hear that much excitement for swimming.
Is he USRPT training too?
Some sets have a resemblance with USRPT, but in generally no.
I can watch race videos from Croatian championships (thanks for that) and of course I can’t watch races from NCAA championships. 🙄 😥
For a comparison, Filippo Magnini was 55.01 at … 16!!! His best textile ever was 48.1. I know he is from another decade and that some guys develop faster than others, but the comparison is still mind-boggling.
