Worcester, Ma. – Providence College men’s and women’s swimming and diving split today’s meet with Holy Cross. The men earned a decisive 198-82 victory, earning first place in 13 of 16 events. The women fell short to the Crusaders, 182-118.

Next Up
Providence returns home on Saturday, January 25 for their senior meet. They will host the University of Maine in the Friars’ home venue, Taylor Natatorium.

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross swimming and diving teams competed against Providence Saturday afternoon for the team’s senior day. The women defeated the Friars 182-118, but the men fell 198-82.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Kayleigh Hoagland won three individual events and was part of one relay win including the 200 free (1:57.46), 50 free (24.96), 100 free (54.54), and the 400 free relay (3:37.59). The three other members of the relay team were Alicia Vesey, Emily Skilton, and Rowan Burgess.
- Skilton was also part of the 200 medley relay (1:52.03) team that won. She was joined by Lauren Moran, Isabella Miko-Rydzaj, and Madalyn Piasecki.
- Emily Sullivan won two events including the 200 breast (2:30.37) and the 200 IM (2:10.72), as did Brianna Larnard in the 200 fly (2:10.50) and 100 fly (59.29).
- The Crusaders swept the 200 breast as Mack Sullivan took the men’s competition (2:15.37).
- Ben Fox won the 100 free (49.66) and Michael Brennan claimed first in the 100 fly (53.37).
- The women swept both diving events with Jordyn Vandergrift taking first in the one meter diver (205.57) and Abigail Bryant claiming the 3 meter dive (222.0).
