SUNYACs Day III – Geneseo Takes No Prisoners; Men Return to the Top, Women Make it Seven Straight

n the final day of the 2014 SUNYAC championships, defending champion Cortland was beaten by Geneseo. Cortland’s upset last year surprised everyone; in some ways, this is a return to the status quo, but it also may be the beginning of a deepening rivalry between the teams. On the women’s side, Geneseo maintained it’s victory streak for another year.

2014 SEC Championships: Florida, Georgia repeat, Chierighini puts up a pair of 41s

Auburn’s Marcelo Chierighini (above) went 41.9 to win the 100 free, then 41.4 leading off the 400 free relay. Meanwhile the Georgia women and Florida men successfully defended their 2013 team titles.

2014 Big Ten Women’s Championships: Minnesota three-peats on Kierra Smith 200 breast win

The Golden Gophers won the conference at home on a big final night that saw conference records from Wisconsin’s Ivy Martin and Indiana’s Gia Dalesandro.

2014 ACC Women’s Championships: Reaney’s American record 200 breast steals show as Virginia repeats

Courtney Bartholomew led the Virginia Cavaliers to their 7th consecutive conference title, although the team battle was overshadowed by Notre Dame’s Emma Reaney, who broke the American record in the 200 breast.

USC Rolls Utah, But Soedel Impresses in Uytengsu Debut

In the first official meet at the newly-remodeled Uytengsu Aquatic Center, USC cruised past Utah, though Utah’s Soedel stole some of the spotlight with a pair of impressive 100 freestyles.

Ivy Martin and Alyson Ackman were 48-low in prelims, making for a great finals showdown tonight. Indiana qualified 10 A finalists in trying to cut down Minnesota’s big team lead.

2014 AAC Championships Day 4 prelims: Kylliainen looks to go 3-for-3 for unbeaten week

Louisville stayed hot on the final day of prelims at the AAC Championships, breaking more pool records and taking top seeds in 7 of the 8 events. Tanja Kylliainen is the top 200 flyer, looking for her third conference title of the meet.

UNYSCSA Day IV – Stevens Men and Ithaca Women Finish Strong

On the final night of the UNYSCSA Championships, a few more records fell, and the Stevens men and Ithaca women claimed the overall leads, culminating in a victory. On the men’s side, the runners up in point totals were Ithaca. For the women, it was Stevens.

2014 Women’s Ivy League Championships Day Three: Up/Mid/Down – Still the Princeton-Harvard Show

Brown University’s Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center is the site of the 2014 Women’s Ivy League Championships. As in past years, it has turned into a heated battle between Princeton and Harvard for the crown. The last session begins tonight at 6:00 p.m.

Four New Ohio High School State Records Set In Divisional Prelims Thursday & Friday

Ohio High School State Championships are underway this weekend in Canton, Ohio. Division I Cincinnati Ursuline set two of four records – Emily Slabe, pictured on left, and the 200 freestyle relay (not pictured).
