University of Nevada Las Vegas Grab Two Big Wins At Home

The 4×100 freestyle relays gave way to two more UNLV wins to set in stone their championship victories. With 845.5 points over New Mexico’s 597 the women won. The men put up a massive 1137.5 points over University of the Pacific’s 750 to take home the win.

Cameron McEvoy Taken Down By Tommaso D’Orsogna In 100 Freestyle At Queensland Championships

Rising sprint star Cameron McEvoy swam in the men’s 100m freestyle only to take second to Tommaso D’Orsogna. D’Orsogna and McEvoy turned together however on the final 50 D’Orsogna created the slightest of leads to win 49.11 to 49.21.

Multiple Swimmers Grab Trials Cuts At Winter Junior Nationals Long Course Time Trials

Stanzi Moseley swam two very good races in the 50 and 100m freestyles. The 100 was the more impressive of the two swims, earning her a 2016 Olympic Trials cut. Her time of 56.49 did the trick, although it was well off her seed time of 55.03.

In her first event of the night Katie Ledecky came dangerously close to Katie Hoff’s American record in the 1000 freestyle with time of 9:11.52 to finish just two-tenths off of her personal best of 9:11.31.
