Williams Bests MIT, Middlebury in Back-to-Back Dual Meets

The Ephs of Williams certainly had a weekend filled with fast swimming. On Friday they faced off against the MIT Engineers and came out on top (192-97 for women, 159-137 for men). Less than eighteen hours later, the Ephs were back up on the blocks racing NESCAC competitors Middlebury and again came out victorious (185-108 for women, 197-101 for men).

Denver men win thriller in Las Vegas quad, Air Force women win tri over UNLV, CSUB

Denver topped UNLV 153.5-143.5 and also topped Cal State – Bakersfield and Air Force while the Air Force women defeated all comers in the women’s triangular.

Penn State women sweep Navy with Shishkoff’s triple, Nittany Lion men also win

The Penn State women went into Annapolis, Maryland and emerged with a clean sweep win, taking all 16 events against Navy. The Nittany Lion men added a convincing 171-127 win of their own.

Eagles Swamped by Crimson Tide

On Saturday afternoon, the men and women of Emory’s Swimming & Diving program faced off against Division I competition in the form of the University of Alabama at the Don Gambril Olympic Pool in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Crimson Tide beat both the Eagles on both sides, taking the victory 196-92 over the men, and 178-110 over the women.

Bowling Green beats Toledo by .03 for second-straight nailbiter win

For the second week in a row, the Bowling Green women saw a meet come down to the final relay, trailing Toledo by a single point with one race to go Friday night. But Bowling Green won a heart-stopper in the 200 free relay by just .03 to hand Toledo its first conference loss.

Oakland knocks off defending Horizon League Champs Cleveland State plus Xavier in tri meet

Jorden Merrilees jumped into the 1000 free for the first time this season to win and put up the fastest time in the Summit League. Takara Martin hit a PR in the 100 breast for Oakland as well.

University of Louisville Sweeps Kentucky, Kylliainen wins three

Tanja Kylliainen was all over the in-state rival Wildcats, winning the 200 fly, 200 back and 200 IM. Joao de Lucca, Kameron Chastain and Kelsi Worrell all won two events apiece for the Cardinals.

The Golden Gopher men and women combined for 9 straight wins to close the meet in dominating fashion over a fired-up NC State squad that put up huge performances on the road.
