Minnesota Set to Host Pro Swim

The Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center will host the first stop on 2015-16 Arena Pro Swim Series from Thursday, Nov. 12 to Saturday, Nov. 14. The meet will be contested in long course meters, which will give the Gophers the chance to grab more Olympic Trials qualifying times.

Khalafalla, Amaltdinov Named Big Ten Co-Swimmers of the Week

The big Ten conference awarded Swimmer of the Week to both Ali Khalafalla of Indiana and Marat Amaltdinov of Purdue. Khalafalla posted a 19.70 to win the 50 free against Auburn, landing him 5th in the NCAA this season.

Florida’s Switowski, Auburn’s Vitarius Named SEC Swimmers of the Week

Florida’s Jan Switowski and Auburn’s Jill Vitarius were named the male and female SEC swimmers of the week, respectively. Switowski rose to 1st in the nation after posting a 1:34.81 in the 200 freestyle against South Carolina for the Gators.
