Dressel had a remarkable weekend at the Buckeye Invitational, swimming to seven NCAA ‘A’ cuts, three US Olympic Trial-qualifying times, and eight wins. In addition, Dressel rewrote the UF record books with a new school record in the 100 breaststroke.

McHugh, Amaltdinov Named Big Ten Men’s Co-Swimmers of the Week

Ohio State’s Matt McHugh and Purdue’s Marat Amaltdinov were named Big Ten Co-Swimmers of the Week. Amaltdinov swept the breaststroke events at the Purdue Invite, clocking a 53.87 in the 100 and a 1:54.61 in the 200.

Houston’s Griljalva, SMU’s Krzyzaniak Named AAC Swimmers of the Week

Krzyzaniak posted NCAA B standards in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events at the Art Adamson Invitational. In the 100 backstroke, the sophomore placed fourth with a time of 48.24 in the Championship Final.

Ohio State’s Li, Purdue’s Fogle Named Big Ten Co-Swimmers of the Week

Ohio State’s Liz Li and Purdue’s Emily Fogle were named the Big Ten Co-Swimmers of the Week. Li picked up an NCAA automatic qualifying cut in the 50 free at the Ohio State Invite, posting a 21.83.

USA Women Split First Two Games Of Exhibition Series With Australia

A capacity crowd filled the Coggan Family Aquatics Center last night to see the USA Women’s National Team edge Australia 8-7. Rachel Fattal scored 3 goals in the match including the game winner with 2:54 to play in the fourth to give the United States the win.
