According to Women’s Wear Daily, Paula Schneider, the President of the Warnaco Swimwear Group, has stepped down. Warnaco is the company that holds the Speedo license for North America and the Caribbean.
Schneider first came to Warnaco in 2006 as the head of their designer swimwear division, which included overseeing all aspects of design, development, merchandising, marketing and sales for the Anne Cole, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Nautica, and was quickly elevated to President of the larger swimwear group. She was responsible for ushering in the era of the LZR, the first major suit released that included polyurethane
The report was confirmed by Audra Silverman, a Speedo spokeswoman, but she would give no further comment on the possible reasons for Schneider’s departure.
