Due to over half of the NCAA membership electing not to compete during the Winter 2021 season, the National Top 20 is a National Top 10 for the remainder of the season. It is approximately proportional to the National Top 20 (20 of 50 teams/40% vs. 10 of 24 teams/41.6%)

To explain the preseason poll rankings, several teams that appeared in the Preseason Poll have elected not to compete in 2021 and do not appear on this list.
