Polyvalent Han Nguyen Verbally Commits to Brown

Han Nguyen, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Los Gatos, California has made a verbal commitment to the application process at Brown University.* Nguyen is a multi-faceted talent out of Los Gatos High School and Peak Swimming in Saratoga. She placed fourth in the 200 IM (2:03.62) and third in the 100 fly (54.57) at the 2016 CIF-Central Coast Section Swimming & Diving Championships. She led off the Los Gatos medley relay (27.66) as well as the 200 free relay (24.49).

In club swimming Nguyen capped off her summer season with a strong showing at Stanford Futures, where she swam the 50m free, 200m back, 100/200m fly, and 200m IM, placing 8th in the 100m fly and 11th in the 200m IM. Her top SCY times are:

  • 100 fly: 54.57
  • 200 IM: 2:03.49
  • 400 IM: 4:25.78
  • 100 free: 52.21
  • 200 free: 1:52.55
  • 200 back: 2:03.45
  • 100 breast: 1:04.98

Han will join already-committed Tory Center and Taylor Seaman in the Brown University class of 2021.
