Two South American, two Brazilian and 24 meet records were set at the Julio de Lamare Trophy last weekend.
It was two 4 x 50 medley relay teams from the Pinheiros that highlighted the competition, as the women’s and men’s junior II relays took down the South American records.
The women’s team made up of Paula Galvo (30.59), Isabela Fraioli (32.79), Thais Resende (28.02) and Luana Ribeiro (25.22) posted a time of 1:56.62 which breaks the 2009 record of 1:58.27 which was set by another team from Pinheiros.
The men’s team consisting of Vitor Guaraldo (25.69), Pedro Cardona (26.97), Joao Facciotti (23.37) and Jackson Candido (22.43) finished in a time of 1:38.46. The broke the 2011 record of 1:40.11 set by a Flamengo team made up of Henrique Rodrigues, Thiago Parravicini, Nicholas Santos and Cesar Cielo.

Pinheiros took the team title collecting 774.5 points followed by Corinthians who finished with 711.5 points and Gerais who garnered 514 points.

- Female Junior I – Andressa Lima – 100 freestyle – 56.35
- Female Junior II – Vivianne Jungblut – 400 freestyle – 4:15.39 and 800 freestyle – 8:45.18 (both had the same point scores)
- Male Junior I – Brandonn Almeida – 1500 freestyle – 15:22.46
- Male Junior II – Pedro Cardona – 100 breaststroke – 1:00.85
Actually at Raia Rapida 2014, Brazil set a New South American and World Best on 4×50 medley: 1:37:68. Don´t know why it is not considered the SA record..
