PHOTO VAULT: Northern Arizona’s Pool Starting To Take Shape

Northern Arizona University is getting a new home for its swimming and diving program, and coach Andy Johns has been kind enough to share photos of the new building over the last year. Swimming fans can watch a time-lapse of sorts as the facility starts to rise from the ground up.

You can also watch a live webcam of construction by following this link.

This will be great for Arizona! It’s way too hot in the Summer to be hosting meets, so now some big meets in Arizona can be moved to this pool!

Altitude would be a factor. I do not know what you mean by “big meets”, but I doubt that a meet like Sectionals or higher would be there based on this. Awesome looking pool though!

Uh, no big meet will be hosted there at nearly 7000 feet, but awesome altitude training facility. Big boost for NAU and good luck to Andy. Great guy!
