Penn State Falls In MPSF Water Polo Championship Tournament

LOS ANGELES, Ca. – The Penn State Behrend men’s water polo team fell to Austin and Stanford on Friday in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) championship tournament.

Austin 19, Penn State Behrend 7
Stanford 13, Penn State Behrend 0

Game One:
* The Lions fell to Austin 19-7 at the Spieker Aquatics Center in Los Angeles, CA on Friday afternoon
Jacob Harkins (Hollywood, FL/Saint Thomas Aquinas), Holden Cooper (San Anselmo, CA/Redwood), and Samuel Flesch (The Woodlands, TX/The Woodlands) each contributed two goals
Ryan Kenney (Skippack, PA/Perkiomen Valley) chipped in the seventh goal
Devin Lockard (Edgewood, WA/Puyallup) pulled in 12 saves in goal

Game Two:
* Behrend fell to Stanford 13-0 in the second game of the tournament
* The Cardinals came out quick, scoring seven goals in the first period
* The Lions outshot Stanford 23-21, but could not get one to fall
* Lockard tallied two steals in goal

Up Next:
* Penn State Behrend will play for fifth place on Sunday at 12 p.m. EST against an opponent to be determined.
