“I chose the University of Pennsylvania because its stellar academics and amazing swim program will allow me to reach my goals both in the pool and the classroom. I immediately fell in love with the coaches, and the team made me feel right at home! I am so excited to be a part of the class of 2021 and experience all that Philadelphia has to offer. GO QUAKERS!!”

A senior at Page High School in Greensboro, Pearce will be the first member of her family to venture outside of the state of North Carolina for college. At the 2016 NCHSAA 4A State Championships, Pearce placed fourth in the 100 back (55.13) and tenth in the 100 fly (56.98). She also led of both the 200 medley and 400 free relays for Pace.

She began swimming for Swim GSA when she was 5 and, after a spell elsewhere, will finish her club career there. “I swim under Kevin Thornton who is greatly responsible for my improvement. He has definitely pushed my physical limits, and motivated me throughout the past few years.”
