Megan Delaere from Rochester Hills, Michigan, has committed to Wayne State University’s class of 2026.

Delaere trains with OLY Swimming and specializes in distance free, breaststroke, and IM. Many of her best times come from last spring. She went PBs in the 100/200 back in January, the 1000 free, 100 fly, and 400 IM in February, and the 500 free and 100 IM in March. This summer she updated her 100/200 free, 100 breast, and 200 IM at the MCSA Senior Cup. She placed 10th in the 100 free, 12th in the 200 free, 3rd in the 500 free, 9th in the 100 breast, and 5th in the 200 IM.

Delaere’s best times would have made her the Warriors’ top distance freestyler last season. She would have been the second-fastest breaststroker and she would have ranked among the top-5 IMers. At the GLIAC Championships, she would have finished 6th in the 1000 free and the 1650 free, been an A finalist in the 500 free and 200 breast, and scored in the B finals of the 100 breast and 400 IM.
