- Entry Lists
The highly-anticipated pool swimming entry lists have now been published on the official site of the 2019 FINA World Aquatics Championships. To date, we’ve only had inklings of swimmers’ entries based on how they performed at their respective nations’ trials, or if their specific events were listed when federations distributed their respective Worlds rosters.
The link to official entry lists is in the bullet points above.
Scratches and rearranging may still take place once the action gets underway at the Nambu University Municipal Aquatics Center, but we can glean important information about swimmers’ schedules from these high-level entry lists.
Look for additional posts highlighting the lineups of key swimmers around the world. In the meantime, you can review SwimSwam’s event-by-event previews here.
As a reminder, here is the schedule for the swimming portion of the 2019 World Championships:
For a split second whenever I see Adam Peaty’s 100 breast time it looks like a typo mistake to me.
Like when someone mistakenly enters a yards time.
I do the same with Ledecky’s 800 and 1500m times…
no surprise but it is official that Lily King is now Team TYR!
So close, so excited
like Christmas morning
Has Sun Yang retired from the 1500? It’s been a minute since he swam it.
He’s playing the “I won’t swim this event” game until the last minute most likely
It’s understandable that some swimmers would like to drop the 1500 after 800 was added to the Olympics. Detti and Horton do the same, so I’m OK with Sun not swimming the mile, but I somehow remember there was a swimswam article last year saying he wanted to refocus on 1500.
Anybody know why the US only has one entry in the women’s 50 fly and 50 breast, men’s 1500?
Wilimovsky and Grothe are both listed in men’s 1500?!

Could it be because the 50m form strokes are Mickey Mouse events?
A lot less of Mickey Mouse events than the mixed relays in the olympics…too many damn medals!!
Will streaming on the Olympic channel cover both prelims and finals? And will it be live?
Yep
If my math is correct, prelims will start at 9 PM EST (the day before) and finals start at 7 AM EST?
That’s correct
Hmmm…this might just work out time wise lol
6 pm pacific for prelims and an ungodly 4 am for finals
You don’t complain when MNF comes on at 6pm there and we east coasters can only stay up for a half!
Well we all had to get up at 4 for swimming one time or another…
Or for us east cost Aussie folk, heats at 11am, finals at 9pm
It’s sort of ok for us Aussies for a change . No 2am finals
Where is the pickem gang?
It’s coming!
