Northwestern Picks Up Verbal from 3-Time National Champion Diver, Olivia Rosendahl

Olivia Rosendahl, a senior at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, has made a verbal commitment to the Northwestern Wildcats. Rosendahl is the current CIF-Southern Section Division III record-holder in one-meter diving with 585.30 points. She has won the event twice (freshman and junior years) with D3 records each time.

Rosendahl, a member of Trojan Dive Club, is a three-time national champion. She recently represented the United States at the 2014 FINA World Junior Championships in September in Penza, Russia where she placed 13th in Girl A 3M.

She also attended the Pan American Sports Festival, which was held September 27-30 in Mexico City. There she placed fourth in Synchronized Women’s Platform and eighth in Women’s Platform.

Rosendahl told SwimSwam: “I chose Northwestern because it is a fantastic school and the second I stepped onto the campus I felt like I had found where I belonged.”

Northwestern was unable to place any divers in the finals of the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at 2014 B1G Championships, but they did have an A-finalist in Platform. Rosendahl should make a big difference for the Wildcats as soon as she begins her collegiate career. Northwestern, who finished tenth out of twelve teams last year, have been reeling in potential point-scorers like crazy this recruiting season. So far, their commits include:
