The Huskies swimming and diving team defeated Vermont on Saturday 182-118. Northeastern posted 13 first-place finishes on its way to the fourth win of the season.
Sara Touchette-McGowan had a big day for the Red and Black, posting 27 points and taking first in three events (100 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly). The senior was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay, that set a new pool record at Vermont.
Megan Clark and Carly Schnabel both earned two first-place finishes. Schnabel took first in the 500 and 1000 freestyle. Clark finished first in the 50 and 200 freestyle, while also being a member of the first-place 200 medley relay. The sophomore’s 50 freestyle time set a new pool record at Vermont.
Alyssa Seales also had a great meet for the Huskies, sweeping the diving events. Jacquelyn Gover took second place in the three meter and third place in the one meter.
Sidney Smith finished first in the 100 backstroke, while Matilda Weiler took first place in the 400 individual medley. Klara Juliusson earned first in the 100 breaststroke and second in the 200 breaststroke.
