Opening day at the Bill Nixon Memorial Meet in Lewiston, Texas saw the North Texas Nadadores take home a number of wins.
Though Meet Mobile results look a bit scattershot at this point, it appears that three North Texas Nadadores picked up individual event wins on day 1, which included just the 400 free, 400 IM and 400 free relay.
10-year-old Dylin Cormack was the first to get a win, taking the 10&under 400 free in 5:18.50. That topped the field by nearly 10 full seconds.
Meet Mobile then shows two North Texas Nadadores winning age groups of the boys 400 IM. In the 13-14s, Kevin Repice went 5:01.11 for the win. Repice is still on the younger end of that age group at 13, and he won the race by about four ticks.
Then in the 15&over category, Jack LeVant was the big winner, going a very-nice 4:44.18 to blow out the field. That won by well over nine seconds.
Texas Ford Aquatics also picked up multiple wins, sweeping both genders of the 11-12 400 free. On the girls’ side, 12-year-old Joelle Reddin was the winner at 4:48.54, topping a pair of Lakeside swimmers by two seconds. For the boys, Mithuun Ramesh went 4:42.09 to win by about five seconds.
10-year-old Andrew Rogers won the boys 400 free for the 10&Unders, going 4:43.12. That wasn’t far off the winning time in the 11-12s, either. Other individual winners were SMU’s Kirsty McLauchlan in the girls open 400 IM (4:55.32) and Barret Smith of the City of Richardson in the boys 11-12 400 IM (6:01.08).
