While the SwimMAC girls set a new Jr National meet record in the 800 free relay at the Eastern Championships, the Nitro boys did the same at the Western Champs.

Corban RawlsSean GrieshopMicah Slaton, and Taylor Abbott combined for a final time of 6:32.88, which broke the 6:33.02 mark set in 2014 by the Santa Clara Swim Club.

Splits

Corban Rawls – 1:38.38
Sean Grieshop – 1:36.30
Micah Slaton – 1:40.18
Taylor Abbott – 1:38.02

The only member of that relay to double up with the 200 medley was Slaton, who provided a 22.14 fly leg prior to swimming this relay.

SCSC’s 6:33.02 was set at last year’s championships, and was made up of Aidan BurnsCooper BurrillMichael Messner, and David Farr.

Congratulations to Corban! Had the pleasure of being his coach from 8-10 years old. Fantastic family who are raising a great kid. Keep up the good work! Very proud.

Sean Grishop has massive potential in freestyle events.
He is future Olympics and World Championships medalist, I have been following him since he was 10 and knew he was going to be a superstar.
